#ChocolateEveryday: Treat Yo’Self With Russell Stover Everyday Chocolates

I’m not the biggest chocolate person, but when I crave chocolate, I NEED IT IN MY MOUTH. It is non-negotiable. That’s why I prefer individually-wrapped, single-serving treats to keep around my house. Because I’m not really the type to binge-eat chocolate, chocolate bars or large containers don’t really make sense and will probably go bad before I’m able to finish it all.

That’s why I like the premise of the new Russell Stover Chocolate Everyday Collection. Russell Stover is offering a new bag filled with assorted chocolates, from peppermint patties to coconut chocolate bars, rich caramels and crunchy “pecan delights.” They come in a bag, but are all individually wrapped, so you can pick and choose your poison based on what mood you’re in that day. It’s a great concept!

My favorite treat in this bag is the peppermint patties. I’ve always been a huge fan of York Peppermint Patties. These patties have the same great flavor as Yorks, but have an added bonus – the chocolate coating is super thick! More chocolate for your buck is something I can definitely approve of.

The other flavors are similarly delicious and I like that they’re portable. Keep them in your desk for when a sweet tooth strikes, hand them out to friends, or unwrap all of them, eat them all at once and hide the wrapper evidence. I won’t tell.

I only have one picture of this magical stuff because I devoured it too fast.

My favorite addition to the “Chocolate Everyday” collection, though, is definitely the Milk Chocolate Crunchy Caramel Bark. I’m a sucker for toffee and anything toffee flavored. Toffee chocolate? I ate it all. Toffee ice cream? I got an upset stomach from binge-eating it. Toffee coffee? I overdosed on caffeine. I simply have zero self-control around toffee.

That’s why I was absolutely dismayed to discover that this giant bag of Russell Stover Caramel Bark is full of toffee chocolate pieces that are NOT INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED. They are just LYING THERE. They are all RIGHT THERE when you open the bag. There is literally nothing to stop you from eating 10, 15 or 20 pieces or the whole damn bag. I know this because that’s exactly what I did. I kept resealing the handy resealable pouch, even going so far as to put it back in my kitchen safe and sound. Unfortunately for me, no distance is too far for toffee, and I found myself continuing to get up and go back in the kitchen for more.

Seriously, this bark is so delicious. It is irresponsible of them to not put wrappers around the chocolate because I think they will be single-handedly responsible for some kind of diabetes epidemic.

The bark also comes in pistachio and orange & almond flavors, but nothing is better than toffee.

Other additions to the Chocolate Everyday collection include milk chocolate pretzels, “bites,” (chocolate covered blueberries, pomegranate seeds and orange bits), sugar-free bites and mini favorites.

Disclosure: I received two bags of Russell Stover Chocolate Everyday candies for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
