During the day (and evening), Areal is a delicious restaurant that serves up amazing Mediterranean food, seafood, apps and pasta. At night, though, it turns into one of the best spots on Main Street.
The best part about Areal is that it’s HUGE. There’s the indoor front room with long communal tables, the indoor back bar area and the large outside patio. This means that they can let lots of people in at once and there’s rarely a line (and never a cover fee).
I love going here and getting my favorite beer, Allagash White, on draft. The prices here are not too bad – $7 for a nice draft beer is pretty great for LA – just be prepared to wait in a long line for the bar.
Lots of super-hot people go here, making it a fun eye-candy place and a place to meet cool new people (it’s quieter on the patio than it is inside).
They have AMAZING pizza – it is so so so good – which is good at dinnertime but also when you’re drunk. Just make sure you get there before the kitchen closes or you’ll be super sad.
I’ve heard they have a great bottomless mimosa brunch – I’ll have to check it out ASAP and circle back.
What is your favorite bar on Main Street? Let me know in the comments!
