Getting Crafty: Glitter Wine Glasses

If there’s anything I love more than wine, it’s glitter. And if you’re anything like me, combining them is your wildest dream come true!

Well now you can. You can make GLITTER WINE GLASSES.

Yep. All you need are wine glasses, glitter of your choice, a paintprush and tacky glue. That’s literally it. This is quite possibly one of my favorite crafts, simply because of the ease and how awesome the result is.

I found this craft idea on Pinterest and my life has literally never been the same. Pick up some cheap wine glasses from IKEA (you’ll be covering them anyway), some metallic glitter in any color, a paintbrush and tacky glue (a specific kind of glue sold at any craft store). It is very important to get actual tacky glue, otherwise the glitter will just fall off.

I chose gold and silver, but you can get any color glitter.

Simply lay down a newspaper to catch fallen glitter, dip your paintbrush in the tacky glue, and slather it on the stem and base of the wine glass. The key here is to work quickly, as tacky glue is…well…tacky. Just slather it on as quickly as you can, making sure you cover the stem and base completely. Then pour glitter all over the glued-up stem and base. (Don’t dip the wine glass  in a pot of glitter – this is  the best way to ruin all your remaining glitter).

And THAT’S IT! You’re literally done. You have to wait until they dry, of course, and shake off all the excess glitter. But then you can use them and drink wine out of them! They can even get wet without the glitter falling off (yay tacky glue) – just don’t stick them in the dishwasher or let them soak in the sink.

These wine glasses spruce up any girls’ night out pregame, or any chill girls’ night in. They make perfect gifts for birthdays, bachelorette parties, bridal showers or the holidays – or just because you are a Domestic Diva and you provide sparkly things for your ladiez.

Try this out yourself and let me know what you think in the comments!
