I hate the cold weather, I hate being cold and most of all I hate bundling up! As a result, I try to prolong dresses into fall as long as I can.
One way I do this is by choosing dresses with patterns and colors that are very obviously geared toward fall.
This floral dress features autumnal colors like brown, sage green and pumpkin. The flowers are also more “greenery” and less “spring” looking. The 3/4 sleeves also mean it’s more appropriate for fall.
My favorite feature of this dress is the snap in the chest area! Wrap dresses are so pretty and so classic, but they are absolutely impossible for women with boobs to wear. A wrap dress just means gaping cleavage, and/or bra showing, so I have to avoid them completely. This dress is ingenious. With the addition of a snap closure in the chest area, I can rock this wrap-style dress without flashing everyone in the apple orchard.
I wore this dress on an apple picking adventure with my husband in Oak Glen. These brown suede peep-toe booties were the perfect addition to the dress, but damn were they incredibly impractical – and painful – in the apple orchard! Sigh – the things we do for fashion.
