Sometimes you just have to be a little fun and wear bold, bright colors. There are so many beautiful colors in the world. Although I often wear head-to-toe black, it can be fun to choose a bright color and plan an outfit around it.
Today, I chose this bright mustard-colored top from H&M. This long-sleeved shirt is not yellow, it’s not gold – it’s definitely mustard. It’s super bright and is definitely noticeable from across the room!
To tone down the bold a bit, I paired the shirt with this gray skirt. I found this skirt about 8 years ago at a Goodwill by USC when I was desperately searching for something appropriate to wear to a last-minute job interview. I’m not even sure what brand it is. I snatched it up and I’ve probably work it 500 times since then. It’s a great color gray, super soft, a fun length but also semi-appropriate, and dirt cheap. Sometimes you find your best items at a Goodwill or a thrift shop!
More gray on bottom with these gray suede ankle booties from Payless Shoesource, and then back to some more colorful fun. This Perry Street statement necklace has yellow jewels in it, an incredibly unique touch. It also has a pretty bright blue, which makes a statement, and silver, which helps it blend in with the gray. My ring is from Tiffany’s.
