OOTN: Japanese Spring

Dressing for a night out in spring is tough. It’s spring, so you want to wear light colors and florals, and maybe even pretty dresses. But it’s still cold at night, and you don’t want to freeze.

That’s why I love this black and red floral top from Fashion Q. It’s definitely got the spring vibe, but it’s also black and perfect for nighttime. I also love the sweetheart cut neckline paired with off-the-shoulder sleeves. It’s flirty and sensual, and I love how the pattern and silk fabric are reminiscent of a Japanese print.

The peplum cut of the blouse also makes it perfect for pairing with both skirts and pants. There’s no worry about fit or length or tucking it in.

My black high-waisted jeans are from Charlotte Russe, and my black suede stiletto ankle boots are from Payless. I love pairing pants with ankle boots, even if it does leave a weird skin gap sometimes – a flash of ankle, scandalous!

I love the sweetheart neckline on the top, so I decided to skip wearing a necklace. This gold “Sleep all Day, Party all Night” bangle is from Ettika.

How do you work spring fashion at night? Let me know in the comments!
