Devoted followers of my blog (I love you!!!) know that pleather is one of my favorite things. Always has been, always will be.
There’s nothing like a pretty black (faux) leather skirt to jazz up literally any outfit and add some edge.
In winter, miniskirts are not practical, and they also just don’t look right to wear, even when you’re in a semi-warm climate. The solution? Sheer tights.
For a (casual) night out in Vegas, I paired this vegan leather black miniskirt with sheer black tights to make it winter-appropriate and keep me warm in the chilly desert nights.
Next, a sweater! You can’t just add any sweater on top of a leather miniskirt, though. The proportions have to be just right. This hunter green sweater was the perfect proportion for the skirt. It’s got a cropped fit, not covering too much of the miniskirt. It has a slouchy, relaxed cut, but is not too baggy or oversize. The sleeves taper down into fitted cuffs, perfect for the nighttime look. And it adds some color to the otherwise all-black outfit!
Last but not least, I added black vegan leather Moto boots for some more edge. It was between these and my Victorian lace-up black suede boots. Either one would have fit well, but in Vegas, a little edge never hurt nobody.
What do you pair with leather skirts? Let me know in the comments!
